    1. Tai's brain is still a fragile piece of china. He seems to be a genuine person, but too genuine for the game of Survivor.
    2. It's hilarious how JT casually left his entire tribe at sea while he digs for an idol clue back at camp.
    3. Sandra and goats. 'Nuff said.
    4. Brad (I still have a low opinion of him, 50% halfway out of there) is most improved. He's not the arrogant windpipe that he was back in BvW.
    5. If you've watched the MvGx live show, you know Caleb, like Ciera and Tony, was initially introduced there as a returnee. This week, Caleb's gone, and if this trend continues, the entire fanbase will erupt.
    6. That make-a-wish kid must've been excited to see his challenge and have the possibility of breaking someone's leg again.
    7. Bellatrix Hali was no game changer by any stretch of the imagination back in WA. Her shining moment was on this season, at that Tribal Council. She mind-effed the tribe into voting Caleb off good.

    • I've seen a lot of people bashing Sandra for wanting to kill the goat.  To those people: I'm sorry, but if you were going to be on an island for the next 39 days and only had rice and the occasional fish/chicken to eat, you would at least consider, for a brief second, killing the goat (never mind the fact that there's no way in hell production would've let them xD), so stop being self-righteous moralizers. I probably wouldn't have wanted to eat the goat, but, knowing myself, under those circumstances I would've at least thought about it for a few seconds. Sandra was just being blunt about what the rest of the tribe was feeling and not saying, sorry if y'all can't handle the realness. Besides, they already kill chickens to eat, what's so different about the goats? I, for one, am LIVING for OTTN Sandra <3

    • I agree. Sandra has no filter. Sandra fans (i.e. me) know it. As a fully functional human being, her first instinct was "KILL THE PIG SLAAAAY".

    • I was basically ROTFL at how JT stranded everybody out at sea. I was excepting Sandra to say at one point "Stupid ass".

I never ate it, but I've been willing to try eating goat at some point. :D

Despite my dislike for him, I'm glad Ozzy decided to put the past with Cirie behind them and work with her this season.

Hali impressed me; I like how she convinced her new tribe mates to spare her.

I am worried about the seven castaways who were at the Reunion last season; 3/7 were the first three boots (Ciera, Tony, Caleb). If Cirie goes next or is pre-merge at any point (and gets outlasted by Brad Culpepper), I will be very mad and might consider boycotting the rest of this season.

    • Overall, this was a hilarious episode! J.T. leaving the tribe out at sea, and them not really caring made me actually laugh. On a different note, it's sort of scary seeing how determined Sandra was to eat those goats (she's still the queen, though). I'm a little upset that Troysan of all people found the idol, because every week he stays is a week we have to listen to his crazy ramblings. It kind of sucks that Caleb went out on Day 9 again, but good on Brad and Hali for swaying the tribe!

    • Can I say, I actually found the goat scene kind of funny in that everyone else wasn't willing to eat the goat but were scared to say it because they were afraid of Sandra <3 Like I think Malcolm was legit like, "I don't know if I really want to eat the goat... but Sandra's REALLY hungry :/"

      1. Everyone likes to take jabs at Tai. This is his first Tribal Council. We have no idea yet if this move will hurt him or not. And I think it's odd when Tai is lumped with the worst casting choices on this season when he has been part of game changing moments.
      2. JT is one of a kind
      3. I didn't mind Sandra wanting to eat the goats. I wouldn't have, but who am I to judge when I'm not out there on the island starving. I'm glad the goats were let go, but I am really annoyed by casual and idiotic Survivor fans who are hating Sandra just for this one moment.
      4. Brad has definitely changed his game for the better.
      5. This does not bode well for Tai, Cirie, Sandra, and Ozzy.
      6. I totally forgot this challenge was designed by that kid.
      7. Hali played her role perfectly to ensure she stayed, but hopefully it doesn't just mean she's automatically the next boot.

What I'm wondering is why the heck to these "GAME CHANGERS" care so much about their original tribes? It's only been 6 days. You're telling me there's no one from the other tribe you wanted to work with? You're more willing to work with the people you wanted to target in your original tribe instead of using the players on the bottom? For some people, staying loyal will benefit them, but it just seems odd. At least in Cambodia you had Wiglesworth and Spencer being able to integrate into the Bayon alliance and there were several blindsides that made for an interesting merge rather than a pagonging.

    • What I am about to ask is not really related to this Discussion, but more related to the Season as a Whole...why is Sandra and Tony (who is Eliminated) part of the Season? Both of them won Survivor. Sandra won it Twice. They could not find any more Game Changers other than Sandra and Tony?

        Loading editor
    • Because they are Game Changers. Which is far from a perfect answer judging by this cast, but that's all we can tell you. Survivor has a casting team that determines which kind of players are to be brought back, and we've had winners in previous seasons as well. All Stars, Heroes vs Villains, and Blood vs Water. Interestingly you neglected to ask about JT who also won Tocantins.

Actually, they WOULD have let them. The reason the survivors decided against eating the goat was because it was a momma and a baby.

No, I highly doubt they would have. In The Australian Outback, when they killed the pig, Survivor received HUGE backlash and since then they have made it clear that they aren't allowing people to kill wild animals anymore.

In an interview with EW for the is episode, Probst said he wouldn't have stopped them.

I had forgotten JT won Tocantins, tbh. Still, I believe there are Game Changers whoare not winners that the Casting Team have not picked.

    • I'm interested to get confirmation from Dave if he was asked or not. Because I feel he probably turned them down which is why Zeke got on this season. Michaela, simply because of how much focus she had for a premerge player, made a lot of sense for the first choice, with all due respect to Hannah and Jessica.

    • So far the season is very good. And the episode with the goats, however ugly, reminded me of classic seasons. We don't get such moments anymore on the show, you know, stuff that have nothing to do with strategy, but with the aspect of survival.

I also loved the little moment with Brad Culpepper the designer. It reminded me of Gary Hogeboom, another football player, who posed as a landscape architect.

Am I the only one who finds it somewhat funny that Jeff Varner wears a tie to confessionals? It's funny when people like to look "official" on Survivor, like Bob and his buff-bowtie.

    • I hope this season isn't All-Stars 2.0 where all the interesting/memorable castaways get picked off before the merge with the merge being full of nobodies.
