Then There Were Five is the penultimate episode of Survivor: South Pacific.
After successfully voting Edna out, the final five waste no time in conspiring with Sophie debating on sending Brandon or Rick home next and Albert targeting Sophie for the next vote.
Following up on the previous night, Albert is still considering sending Sophie home next and going to the end with Rick and Coach instead.
At Redemption Island, Edna takes a crack at sending Ozzy home and staying alive in the game with her tribe mates supporting her, but ultimately she comes up short. Back at Te Tuna's camp, Albert affirms his alliance with Brandon while Coach, Sophie, and Rick agree that Brandon should go to Redemption Island next as he and Ozzy are the two most dangerous still in the game.
Albert tries to sway Coach his way but Coach isn't interested in sending Sophie to Redmeption. During their discussion, Brandon interrupts and Coach accuses him of being a bully and "being a Hantz". Brandon is offended by those remarks but Coach diffuses the situation. Immediately after Coach comments that now having double confirmation that he knows what he has to do.
We open to the Immunity Challenge and much to the chagrin of Coach and Sophie, Brandon wins individual immunity! He also wins the reward of two pizzas which he chooses to share with Rick. Back at camp, Coach and Sophie quickly shift their focus from Brandon to Albert. Sophie approaches Brandon and Rick, the latter of whom is on board with that plan.
With Albert's loyalties in question, Brandon orchestrates a confrontation to determine the truth. Albert's lies are exposed as Sophie and Rick throw him under the bus with heated words. Albert appeals to Brandon, who forgives Albert and even considers giving him the Immunity Necklace!
Brandon talks about God speaking to him and asks Coach to join him in voting for Sophie. A torn Coach replies that he will seek divine counsel of his own and prays for guidance before Te Tuna heads off to Tribal Council.
Jeff and the castaways are shocked when Brandon does indeed give up individual immunity to Albert but his noble deed does not save him as Coach, Rick, and Sophie send him off to Redemption Island. A devestated Brandon hugs Coach before leaving and is told: "it's God's will; go win redemption."

Still in the Running
- This is the second time that the winner of the Immunity Challenge was immediately voted out from the tribe after giving up the Immunity Necklace, following "If It Smells Like a Rat, Give It Cheese", where Erik Reichenbach was infamously voted out by surrendering the necklace.
- Coincidentally, both Erik and Brandon would return for Survivor: Caramoan.
- The first stage of this episode's duel is the same part of a challenge used in "A Big Surprise... and Another".
- On Day 34, Ozzy became the 5th person to last 100 days on Survivor. He is the first and so far only contestant to achieve this partially due to the existence of Redemption Island.
- As of this episode, Sophie Clarke is the only remaining female.
- With Brandon Hantz being voted out, this marks the first time a male from Upolu was voted out.
- The episode title is said by a male from the Upolu tribe right after returning to camp from Tribal Council. Because the phrase is said at night and shot with the infrared camera, it is hard to distinguish who actually said it.
