The Best and Worst Reward Ever is the fifth episode of Survivor: Palau.
Challenge: Sea Salvage
One at a time, one member of each tribe sits on a small pontoon while the rest of the tribe uses a rope and pulley to haul them to above an underwater shipwreck, diving down to grab one of 14 submerged sake bottles, surfacing, and traveling back to the tribe platform. First tribe to retrieve six sake bottles wins.
Reward: Beef stew and root beer to be enjoyed while watching the other tribe's Tribal Council.
Added Stipulation: The winner of this challenge also has the power to give one member from the losing tribe immunity through voting (although they were not told this until just before the losing tribe was ready to vote).

| VOTED OFF:|
Willard did not say anything when he voted.
|“||(voting for Willard) You're crabby and you're bitter. Bye.||”|
|“||I surprised myself out here by not being quite as strong as I expected to be. There are times I get crabby and I know that can bother people but it has been many years since I've been in a situation where I have been deprived of water and sleep. I think the tribe as a whole are good people by and large.||”|

Voting Confessionals (Revote)
|“||I am very proud of my accomplishments out here. I mean, I did much better than I ever thought I would. I am happy that I came out here and done something I have never done before. It was a different and refreshing experience. I definitely have more appreciation for the things I take for granted. All those little things in life, I will never take them for granted again.||”|
