Tastes Like Chicken was the ninth episode of Survivor: Samoa.
Challenge: Coconut Code
The tribe would split into two teams of five, with one castaway sitting out the challenge. Two castaways at a time, the teams would race out into a field to collect a series of poles with black and white colored coconuts. The poles would have to be arranged so that the white coconuts form a four digit number. One blindfolded team member would then have to use their sense of touch to unlock a multiple-dial combination lock using the four digit number. The first team to unlock their lock would win.
Reward: A trip to a waterfall rock slide and a picnic lunch.
Winners: Purple Team
Challenge: Square Peg, Round Hole
The castaways would have to toss a grappling hook to retrieve two bags with a wooden peg in each bag. The first three castaways to retrieve their bags would move on to the final puzzle round. In the final round, the castaways would untie the bags and try to insert one of the uniquely shaped pegs into board, which would release another peg. That peg would fit into another hole, which releases another peg, and so on until the board was full. The first castaway to complete their puzzle would win.

|“||(votes for Russell) Russell I'm voting for you tonight, you are the biggest threat among the Foa Foa tribemates and unfortunately you have to go.||”|
|“||(votes for Russell) Russell I respect your passion for the game but you just came in swinging too hard and too fast.||”|
|“||(votes for Russell) Russ I'm voting for you because I believe that you are the most dangerous member of the Foa Foa tribe. I'll meet you in Lafayette and we'll grub out.||”|
|“||(votes for Russell) You tried to stir up trouble the minute you got to camp and you made way too many promises you couldn't keep, sorry Russell. So much for the fireman's hose.||”|
|“||(votes for Kelly) Come on, baby.||”|
|“||I definitely, definitely wasn't expected to go home tonight. Everything was working out perfectly and I hope Galu gets rid of Russell. It's too many idols, how many can there be. He's just a little sneaky man and I definitely know that he's next in line. If Foa Foa stepped in and totally, I think, took us by surprise. I don't know if anyone from my tribe was involved but I'm totally shocked.||”|
