Survivor: One World was the 24th season of Survivor. It featured two tribes living on the same beach for a pre-determined amount of time. It premiered on February 15, 2012.

Production
The season was filmed immediately after the filming of Survivor: South Pacific has finished. This is done to cut down production costs. The season premiered in February 15, 2012.
Twists/Changes
- "One World" Format: The two competing tribes, Salani and Manono, will be competing against each other while living together on the same beach in a more indefinite time. After the Tribe Switch and Reward Challenge in Day 12, the tribes were separated.
Added by SurvivorHuey- Battle of the Sexes: The cast will be divided according to gender, similar to both Survivor: Amazon and Survivor: Vanuatu. Salani and Manono were the all-women and all-men tribes respectively, before the Tribal Shuffle on Day 12.[1]
- "Do-It-Yourself" Challenges: Similar to how a Reward Challenge in Survivor: Samoa was conducted, certain challenges would require the contestants to run the challenge themselves, with no host overseeing them.[2]
- Hidden Immunity Idols: Though there will be only one camp, there will still be two Hidden Immunity Idols, one per tribe. Once a person finds the other tribe's idol, they cannot use for themselves. Instead, they must give it to a member of the opposite tribe. Furthermore, for the first time, no clues would be provided.
- Tribe Shuffle: The tribes were switch in Day 12, mixing the men and the women.
- Early Merge: The tribes merged with 12 castaways.

^1 Combined Reward and Immunity Challenge
^2 After Kourtney's accident, Manono was given the chance to complete the challenge anyway, despite Salani being down one member or win by default. Manono chose to win by default, technically declaring them the winner of the challenge.
^3 Manono was the true winner of the Immunity Challenge, but eventually gave up immunity to Salani, effectively sending themselves to Tribal Council.

Trivia
- One World is the second Survivor season in which the tribe names have been explictly revealed during the premiere of the season preview of the reunion of the previous season, following Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.
- This is the first season since Survivor: Palau to feature a twist where two tribes lived on the same beach without being merged.
- This is the first season not to include the Redemption Island twist since its introduction.
- This is the first season to not feature an intro containing clips of the castaways for 6 straight episodes.
- This is the first season to feature an intro containing only castaways from the merged tribe.
- This is the first "Men vs. Women" season where the men and the women entered the merge with even numbers.
- Though Redemption Island will be absent this season, Jeff Probst hinted that it might return some time in the future.
- While Jeff Probst is absent during the "do-it-yourself" challenges, challenge producer John Kirhoffer is still present in case of any untoward incidents, but he will not act as a substitute referee.
- This season officially made Samoa the most used location of the whole US Survivor franchise, with four seasons filmed in the island of Upolu, namely, Survivor: Samoa, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains and Survivor: South Pacific.
- Also, like all seasons filmed in Samoa, One World features a female winner.
- This is the fourth season where tribes are divided by gender, following Survivor: The Amazon, Survivor: Vanuatu and Survivor: Panama.
- This season's Tribal Council is situated over a body of water full of mangrove trees.
- This is the second season to have "do-it-yourself" challenges, following Survivor: Samoa.
- This season marks the earliest medical evacuation in the history if the series, with Kourtney Moon's removal in Day 3.
- This season's Hidden Immunity Idol physically looks similar to that of Survivor: Samoa's
- This is the eighth consecutive season to have a female to be the first eliminated.
- It is however the first time in four seasons that a female has been the first and second eliminated.
- This is the second season where a Hidden Immunity Idol is found in the first episode, the first being Survivor: Redemption Island.
- The designs for this season's paraphernalia, such as the season logo, buffs and challenge props are similar to indigenous Maori designs.[3]
- This is the second season where a tribe gives up immunity to the opposing tribe following Survivor: Fiji.
- Tied with Survivor: Samoa and Survivor: Micronesia for season with most medevacs with two.
- This season has the same tribe coloring as Survivor: Pearl Islands (orange and blue starting tribes, black merged tribe).
- This season has the fewest number of people voted out before the merge with four.
- One World is the seventh season to feature black as the merged tribe's color.
- It is also the eighth season to feature black as the color for any tribe.
- One World is the fourth Men vs. Women season to have the first juror to be a man.
