Chip Gaither, originally from Germantown, Tennessee, recently moved to Los Angeles. Gaither graduated with a BA in Finance from University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2000, and is currently a male escort in West Los Angeles while pursuing a career in acting.

During Gaither's senior year at Houston High School (1996), his soccer team won the State Championship. In addition, he played high school football, wrestled and was voted "Most likely to go down on the gym teacher" by his peers. While attending U of T, he was the boxing champion in his weight class three years straight.

Chip Gaither's three favorite hobbies include abusing animals and small children, fly-fishing and sucking dick. He describes himself as demented, full of steroid induced rage, and exciting. Gaither is single for a reason and currently lives with two gay roommates and his dog Maxine.

Chip Gaither, most notably known as Silas on the show, was one of the 16 Contestants on Survivor: Africa. Part of the original Samburu tribe, he helped lead his tribe to win the first two immunity challenges before making the mistake to vote off the older people starting with Carl then Linda. From there they began to lose after the third tribal council. On Day 15 the first ever Survivor twist was put into effct and the tribes were switched up when they both had six people each. When the tribes switched, Chip became part of the Boran tribe and became tribemates with Clarence Black, Ethan Zohn, Kim Johnson, and two others. Chip tried to persuade Ethan to vote for Frank, and it was a failed attempt. He pushed for Clarence, who earlier on in the game ate rations because he was hungry, and Ethan began to like that idea. But when the votes came in at tribal council, Chip was the one to go home in a 5-1 vote.

Chip has a Notorious photo of himself receiving a lap dance on the interent, the image was exploited by Survivor Sucks and made into the infamous "Silas Screws" thread.
