Survivor: The Amazon

Roger Sexton was placed on the all-male Tambaqui tribe. He felt that it was pathetic that the women were competing against them. Roger became somewhat of a leader as he told everyone what to do, particularly the younger members. Roger was annoyed with Ryan Aiken and Daniel Lue not listening to him. When they failed to get a vine properly, he deemed them useless and effectively dug their graves. The men made a very effective shelter and decent camp life. However, the men lost immunity because Ryan and Daniel stumbled on the balance beam. Roger decided to vote out Ryan. Roger asked Rob Cesternino to vote out Ryan. Unbeknownst to Roger, Ryan asked Rob to vote out Roger. Although Roger got three vote, Ryan was sent home in a 4-3-1 vote. The Jaburu women won reward in the form of fishing bait. Thankfully, the men won immunity.

At this point, Roger and Daniel refused to talk to each other. Jaburu won the Reward Challenge and various tolietries. Roger had an argument with Alex Bell about homosexuality, despite both men being straight. Daniel tried to use this to get Rob and Alex on his side. Tambaqui lost immunity, placing Roger in real danger. However, Daniel's lobbying failed and he was unanimously voted out. The men won the next two challenges, keeping Roger safe.

The next Tree Mail said to pick its youngest member for a night of fun, which was Dave Johnson. When Dave returned, he said that there was a tribe switch. Alex, Rob, and Matthew von Ertfelda transferred to Jaburu and replaced by Heidi StrobelChristy Smith, and Jeanne Hebert. The tribe bonded quite well. However, Tambaqui lost immunity. Using the information extracted from Jenna Morasca, Dave got Heidi to flip on the women, sending Jeanne home. Christy asked why Jeanne was sent home over her. Roger said it was because Jeanne was the weakest on this new tribe. Dave noted that what he told Christy is different that the actual reason. At the Reward Challenge, Roger lost both of his rounds. Despite this, Tambaqui won the challenge and spices and fruit. Tambaqui also won the Immunity Challenge.

On Day 19, the tribes was allowed to open the box they had since Day 1. The box said that the tribes had merged. The tribes moved to a new camp site, where a feast awaited them. After eating the feast, Roger wanted to build shelter. Roger was annoyed with everyone using the ice to keep the beer cold. Rob described him as having lack of self-awareness. Roger particularly butted heads with Deena Bennett. The women viewed Roger as a chauvinist for excluding them in the shelter process. The younger women convinced Deena to target Roger because he would not voluntarily vote for a woman at Final Tribal Council. Rob pretended that the men was sticking together, but in reality was planning to vote out Roger. At the Immunity Challenge, Roger struggled from the beginning. Roger stepped down after Jenna and Heidi stripped naked for peanut and chocolate. Deena won immunity and Christy became the target. However, the men on Jaburu deemed him too bossy. In the end, Roger was voted out in a 7-3 vote.
