[edit] Trivia

  • Rob's master move in Survivor: Amazon came in Episode 10 when he turned the tables on Alex Bell. He appeared to have a comfortable alliance of four with Alex, Heidi Strobel, and Jenna Morasca. However, the night following the last Tribal Council, Alex informed Rob that, once they all got to the Final Four, he and the girls would vote to oust him (unless he won immunity). Rob then used this opportunity to talk with Matthew von Ertfelda, Christy Smith and Butch Lockley. At Tribal Council, the four voted to oust a stunned Alex.
  • Rob's most famous quote in Survivor: Amazon came in the episode after he orchestrated the table-turning on Alex. Jenna Morasca confronted him about looking out for himself and he replied, "Feel free to write 'R-O-B' on your parchment tonight!"
  • Rob also provided one of the funnier moments in Survivor: Amazon during his voting confessional in Episode 7 when he cast a vote for Roger Sexton. He pretended to be Casey Kasem doing his "Long Distance Dedication" segment from his American Top 40 radio broadcast, ending with a line from the song Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye by Steam.
  • Rob Cesternino co-wrote and produced the 2005 horror film The Scorned. The film was made as part of a unique project that used reality stars to make a movie. The making of the film was chronicled as part of the E! reality series Kill Reality. The Scorned was made for a budget of under $1 million.
  • Cesternino considers a last minute college road trip where he and two buddies drove 21 hours to go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans (without hotel accommodations) as his single greatest accomplishment.
  • Cesternino was originally cast in another CBS series, Big Brother 3. For reasons unknown he was replaced by Josh Feinberg. A year later, Rob was a finalist for Big Brother 4 but did not make the final cut.
  • His favorite sport is baseball and he is an avid fan of the New York Mets and New York Jets.
  • His hero is Bob Barker because, since a child, he always admired how he ran the show and was so funny about it.
  • Rob's luxury item in the Amazon was a Magic 8 Ball, which he advertises for.
  • When he saw Butch Lockley gathering unusually large amounts of wood for the camp, he thought he had become the designated "Junior Deputy firewood B…"
  • For Survivor: America's Tribal Council, Rob believed only by pledging half the prize to Rupert would anyone have a fighting chance to win.
  • Rob Cesternino appeared, produced and wrote the scenarios with Director Scott Zakarin in the movie "Soup of the Day"
