Off with Their Heads! is the twelfth episode of Survivor: Samoa.
Story[]
Night 27[]
Aiga returned from Tribal Council after voting out Laura, whom Shambo called Medusa. Monica confronted John about his decision to switch his vote on the revote, and deemed him a Judas to the Galu tribe.
Day 28[]
Tree Mail brought news of an auction, which brightened the spirits of all the castaways. At the auction, Natalie bought a peanut butter and jelly sandwich; Shambo bought a covered item which turned out to be sea noodles with Parmesan cheese (which she hungrily wolfed down); Monica purchased a whole roasted chicken; Jaison bought an advantage in the ensuing Immunity Challenge; Mick bought a cheeseburger with fries; John purchased a clue to the idol; Natalie purchased a shower; and John bought apple pie which he elected not to share, openly disappointing some of his tribemates.
Back at camp, John examined his Hidden Immunity Idol clue, which directed him to the stone wall that was home to the idol that Russell had already found. He suspected that it may have already been found.
Shambo shared a moment with the chickens, knowing that they were to be eaten. She then concocted her own recipe for the chicken, and didn't let anyone give her advice. Dave, who won the chickens before the merge, thought he should get a say, but Shambo didn't let him.
That night, Shambo had a clairvoyant dream that Dave was voted off, and took it as a sign.
Day 29[]
The next morning, Shambo shared her dream with Russell, who let her believe that Dave was really the next to go.
Day 30[]
At the Immunity Challenge, Jaison opened his advantage in the challenge, which was the opportunity to move his hand up two knots on the rope at any time. Shambo was first out of the challenge, followed by Russell, Monica, John, and Brett, leaving Natalie, Mick, Dave, and Jaison, Mick was next out, then Natalie, and finally Dave. Jaison's advantage paid off, as he won immunity.
Shambo believed she was in control of the Foa Foa Four. Mick was on board to get Dave out. Russell, pretending to follow through with his promise to John to vote out a Foa Foa, offered up Mick. Meanwhile, Russell was really planning to get out John because John knew that Russell had the Immunity Idol. Russell then went to Dave with that proposition, with the instruction to tell Monica. Mick agreed that John was the most dangerous player left, but Jaison was skeptical because it might alienate Shambo, which would create a tie.
At Tribal Council, Dave felt he may have created a target on his back because of his challenge performance. Shambo felt that the day had been peaceful. Russell disagreed, saying it was maybe the most strategic day of all. Jeff laid into Shambo for her ignorance. While some of the tribe felt it would not be a surprise, Shambo and John did not believe it would be a blindside. Ironically, those two voted alone - Shambo for Dave, and John for Mick. However, the rest of the former Galu sided with Russell's alliance, and John was blindsided, 7-1-1, stunning Shambo in the process that John was voted out over Dave.

Challenge: Drop A Log
With one hand, the castaways would hang on to a rope with several knots tied into it. The rope would be tied to one end of a heavy log. The other end of the log would be connected to a pivot point on a platform that the castaways would stand on. The castaways would start at the knot closest to the end of the log. Every three minutes, they would change hands and move one knot further down the rope. This would increase the angle of the log at the pivot point and increase the weight that the castaways would have to hold. The castaway who held on to the rope the longest would win.
Additional Stipulation: For purchasing the Challenge Advantage during the auction, Jaison Robinson is allowed to move two knots higher up the rope at any point of the challenge.
Winner: Jaison Robinson

Voting Confessionals[]
Shambo's confessional and an edited version of Dave's confessional were shown in the episode. John was shown writing Mick's name on the parchment.
Monica |
“ | (voting against John) I understand you didn't want to draw rocks last week. I understand your decision to vote for Laura. My vote for you is for Laura. | ” |
Mick |
“ | (voting against John) Strong player strategically. Uh, you and your tribe kind of thinks you're a snake in the grass. So this vote hopefully has some backing with them too because this could kind of screw us if this doesn't work. We'll see what happens. | ” |
Natalie |
“ | (voting against John) John, I'm voting for you because you are a very strategic player and you're a huge threat to Foa Foa. So good game. | ” |
Jaison |
“ | (voting against John) (looks at his vote) Hope I'm spelling it right. | ” |
Russell H. |
“ | (voting against John) You're a great strategic player. I could be the only strategic player left. So that's why I have to let you go. | ” |
John |
“ | (voting against Mick) Yo dude, I don't think you're going home tonight. This one probably won't count. | ” |
Shambo |
“ | (voting against Dave) Dave, thanks for the chickens, they were great friends. | ” |
Dave |
“ | (voting against John) John, I'm voting for you because it might get me closer to a million bucks and... that's the way the game goes, I guess. Sorry, pal. | ” |
Brett |
“ | (voting against John) John, you're an extremely smart, intelligent man, but your strategies I think dug you a deep one. | ” |
Final Words[]
John |
“ | Uh, I think tonight's vote was another decision made by Galu that is a substandard decision. They're scrambling, they're doing anything they can to live to see tomorrow. The former Galu tribe is intellectually outmatched. I'm happy that I performed, you know, well and made it in the fourth quarter. Think I had what it took to go to the distance. But, uh, it didn't work out. | ” |
