Odd Woman Out is the sixth episode of Survivor: Worlds Apart.

Story

“	Previously On... Survivor: After a surprise switch, Kelly was the only Blue Collar member on an undermanned Nagarote tribe. While the rest of the Blue Collar tribe enjoyed a four to three advantage, but not all of them were happy. Back at camp, Joaquin and Rodney grew close while Sierra tried to distance herself from her former tribe. At the last Immunity Challenge, Nagarote just couldn't keep up. Facing Tribal Council, allies Max and Shirin were battling each other for the title of most annoying tribemate. And at Tribal Council, Max won, leaving Shirin all alone. Thirteen are left. Who will be voted out tonight?	”

“	Tribal Council was shocking for me. Max was a friend of mine and my closest ally in this game. And I was totally blindsided and it's a little bit of a heartbreaker.	”

“	It's really hard for me because I constantly find myself in this game in a position that's analogous to where I grew up. I grew up in a rich Orange County suburb where the majority of my classmates were beautiful and skinny, and I stood out for not being any of those things. And I constantly felt like I was fighting for people to like me, and like, I was fighting for people to see the good qualities in me. And I think there's probably a lot of this scenario tapping into that. What I'm trying to do now, what I was incapable of doing back then, which is deal with it, adapt, fix it.	”

I was hoping in the switch up, so I could get some new energy, maybe get matched up with some people that I know are like me. I was so happy that Joaq was one of those new faces. “	I'm so excited. I walked in here and these Blue Collars, you know, they were in shambles. And Sierra, she was the odd woman out, which is perfect. So it's basically like, "Here you go, Joaquin. You got all of the ammunition." It's like an easy layup for me.	”

“	I feel like the people from my old tribe just suck, and I don't trust them. So my biggest connection at this point is with Joaquin. He makes me feel comfortable. He looks to me straight in the eye. He's like one of my bros from home. He's also tight with Tyler, and those two seem to be the most trustworthy people I've met to date. However, Joaquin's tight with Rodney, who is just awful. And I just don't know if I can play this game with him.	”

“	Rodney and his great vast plan of, "Oh, I'm such a... an amazing strategist and I'm so good at this game," thinks we should throw a challenge so we can get rid of Joe. Very rarely in the game of Survivor does it work out in your favor to throw challenges. But in this particular instance, I think we have a very special situation. My real alliance is with Kelly, who poor girl is on the other side all by herself. But I think Kelly's a fighter, enough that she'll find a way to make it to the merge, especially if we can throw a couple challenges and keep her safe.	”

Reward

Challenge: Air Raid
Both tribes will race up a tower and through a series of obstacles. Once all tribe members have made it to the top of the tower, they will each take turns launching sandbags with a giant slingshot. They will attempt to have the sandbags hit targets out in the field. The first tribe to hit all six targets wins reward.
Reward: Beef stew feast and hot chocolate while watching sea turtles lay eggs.

Jeff would show them a series of items in a specific order. Once they have the items memorized, they will pull a lever to drop the curtain and recreate it. The first person to get it right, scores a point for their tribe. The first tribe to score 3 points wins Immunity.

I was getting too close to Sierra, I was getting too close with Rodney. They were feeling like I was pulling their tribe away from them and they were like, you know, "Let's get this guy out of here." But, uh, this was my fate and I'm gonna take it with a smile on my face.	”

Behind the Scenes

Unaired Confessionals

• "Took My Head Out of The Game": Shirin described the reward as "magical", having seen a turtle give birth before.
• "This Is My Game": Dan explained the "Blue Collar Plan". He stated that throwing the Immunity Challenge "hits two birds in one stone"; saving Kelly, the only original Escameca at the new Nagarote tribe, and at the same time, exploit his alliance's numbers. He later remarked that he felt Rodney overreacted looking down after "losing" the challenge.
• Carolyn was ecstatic winning two challenges in a row, saying she was satisfied with her performance at the Immunity Challenge. She later stated that while she didn't like the fact that Max and Shirin moved to Nagarote with her, she felt she made enough effort to get to know her new tribemates.

Other

• The tower used in the Reward Challenge was previously used in Survivor: San Juan del Sur for the first Immunity Challenge, the first post-merge Reward Challenge and the Final Immunity Challenge. Also, though aesthetically similar, the slingshots used for the challenge are different to the ones used in the previous Reward Challenge.
• The "Shut Your Trap" challenge was previously used in "One World Is Out the Window".

Episode Title

• The title was said by Joaquin Souberbielle when he talked about Sierra Thomas being left out from her original tribe.
