Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Michael Bortone is an aspiring writer/actor who studies at the Actors Circle Theatre. He once owned a chimney and masonry company and also managed a bar/restaurant. Bortone attended the Maine Central Institute (prep school) and two years of college at Northeastern University in Boston. He has appeared in commercials for Levi's, American Express and Progressive Auto.
Bortone's hobbies include traveling, sports and movies. He regularly plays basketball and softball and enjoys running. He describes himself as resilient, available and easy-going. He is most proud of finishing screenplays and producing a short film. His favorite sport is football. He believes his fishing skills and ability to build things will help him on SURVIVOR.
Bortone is currently single and resides in Los Angeles, California. with his pit bull, Coco. His birth date is December 29, 1973.
Survivor: MicronesiaEdit
Mikey B initially took control of his tribe by making a 7 man alliance which included everyone except Kathy, Tracy and Chet. During their first tribal council, he made the mistake of over thinking the whole situation, since Kathy found the individual immunity statue during the first challenge (could only be used during the first tribal council) and since she was sent to Exile Island and might find the hidden immunity idol, Mikey wanted to explore every single option which confussed several of the voters and agrivated Joel who saw Mikey as a threat and wanted to make him weaker which made him convince everyone except Mikey and Mary (his closest ally) to blindside Mary.
During their next tribal council, Mikey tried to save himself by convincing Joel that Chet was the weakest link and that if he'd be eliminated, the rest of the tribe would soon follow since they'd be voting out a physically strong player who would help the tribe during immunity challenges. Tracy who was at risk of having her ally eliminated, managed to convince Joel to vote Mikey out anyway because he would deffinitly blindside him in the future and that if Chet were to be voted out, there wouldn't be anyone that could save Joel since they were 9 people, and needed 5 people to vote out Mikey and since Joel had 3 swing votes; he would only need 1 more person to vote for Mikey. Her plan worked and eliminated Mikey from the game.
