Born in Miami, Florida, Lisette "Lisi" Linares lived on again and off again in New York City, taking college courses at New York University Film School before moving to Los Angeles. She currently works as a customer service representative for a psychic service company. She has previously worked as a reservationist and paralegal.
Linares describes herself as an "Underground Electropunk Noise Artist" and has procured quite a following (she had a hit in France in 2004). In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her dog. Her favorite sport is tennis. She describes herself as creative, intelligent, smart, observant and fun. She believes her resourcefulness and humor will help her do well on SURVIVOR.
If Linares could hold any office, she would like to be the Mayor of Miami (ironically, her grandfather was once the mayor of his town in Cuba).
Linares currently resides in Los Angeles with her Scottish terrier, George. Her birth date is June 9, 1970.
During the Schoolyard Pick on Day 3, Lisi was placed by Sylvia Kwan on the Moto tribe, which went on to win the first Immunity Challenge, and with it, the right to stay at the original camp that all 19 castaways had built, along with additional amenities that made the camp luxurious. This luxurious camp, compared to the rival Ravu tribe being to forced live in squalor, greatly contributed to Moto's winning streak. Lisi, however, was displeased by Liliana Gomez giving the men of the tribe massages, calling her "diabolical" and began targeting her.
After winning the Immunity Challenge on Day 11, a twist in the game forced the victorious Moto tribe to choose between keeping the Immunity Idol, but switching camps with Ravu, or giving up their immunity to Ravu and vote someone out at Tribal Council, but keeping the luxurious camp. Moto chose to keep their camp of luxury, and at Tribal Council, Lisi joined her alliance of Alex Angarita, Boo Bernis, Edgardo Rivera, and Stacy Kimball in voting out Liliana. In the coming days, Lisi and Stacy upset the men of their alliance by deliberately alienating tribal outsiders Cassandra Franklin and Dreamz Herd.
During the Tribe Switch on Day 15, Lisi was the only one not picked and was forced to go to Exile Island before joining the tribe that loses the next Immunity Challenge, though Lisi originally thought that she was out of the game, and even said she would be fine leaving. After Anthony Robinson was voted out on Night 16, Lisi replaced him on the Ravu tribe. Although Ravu finally broke their losing streak by winning the next Reward Challenge, they still lost the subsequent Immunity Challenge. Knowing she was next and wanting to keep herself in the game, Lisi told Alex the clues she got from Exile Island to the whereabouts of the Hidden Immunity Idol. At Tribal Council, she joined Alex, Dreamz, and Edgardo in voting out Rocky Reid.
The next day, Alex, Edgardo, and Mookie Lee found the tribe's Hidden Immunity Idol right where Dreamz and Lisi were sleeping, though they decided not to share this information with either of them. Mookie later toyed with Lisi by helping her dig in the spot where they found the idol. When Ravu lost the following Reward Challenge, Lisi was again sent to Exile Island, where she struggled with a thunderstorm and thought about quitting the game. After Ravu again lost immunity on Day 21, a frustrated Lisi told her tribe that she wanted to be voted out, but later changed her mind and hoped that Alex and Edgardo would vote out Dreamz. At Tribal Council, however, she was unanimously voted out and sent to the jury.
At the Final Tribal Council, Lisi accused Cassandra of being greedy, accused Earl Cole of turning on Yau-Man Chan, and mockingly asked Dreamz how many zeros there were in a million. She voted for Earl to win, which he did in a unanimous 9-0-0 vote.
