A free-spirit with an edgy twist, Kelly prefers to take life as it comes and embrace the unknown. Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, she now lives in Southern California, arriving there after one of many cross-country treks.
Self-described as spontaneous and passionate in her desire to live life to the fullest, Kelly makes her living as a hairstylist, which fuels her creative side. As homage to her outlook on life, she has chosen to place fairly permanent markings on her body that represent some facets of her personality and life. Among her multiple tattoos are the words “cuidado” (Spanish for “careful”) on her forearm and “trouble” on her left foot.
Her unconventional life experiences and choices have resulted in a positive outlook on life and her belief in the power to change. She feels that making small attainable goals end up contributing to the greater good which is, ultimately, what she wants to do. Her open and straightforward communication style allows her to delve into the deeper meaning of life and provide insight to those closest to her.
With a highly addicting and sociable personality, Kelly is certain she will stand out in the game of SURVIVOR.
Kelly resides in both San Diego and West Hollywood Calif. and her birthday is December 26.
Kelly was placed on the Galu tribe at the beginning of the season. During this time, she enjoyed Galu's winning streak and many rewards. On Day 11, Foa Foa would finally win an Immunity Challenge, sending Kelly to her first Tribal Council. Prior to Tribal, Kelly grew annoyed by Yasmin Giles' demeanor and lack of contributions at camp and joined the tribe in voting her off over the physically weak Monica Padilla. Galu would go on to win the remaining challenges. Despite this, conflicts emerged when Kelly aligned with Monica and Laura Morett against the tribe's men, who attempted to lure Shambo Waters to their side by making her the tribe leader.
The tribes merged on Day 19, with eight Galu members opposed to Foa Foa's four. However, Kelly was annoyed with Erik Cardona's cocky personality. Seeing the opportunity, Natalie White convinced Kelly that Erik was untrustworthy, and she voted him out with the rest of her alliance. That night, Russell Hantz used his Hidden Immunity Idol, but didn't garner any votes against him. Because of this and being unable to win the Immunity Challenge, the Galu alliance targeted him for elimination. However, he was able to find another Idol without any clues. When he revealed this to Shambo, she suggested he vote for Kelly, as she was one of Laura's closest allies and the least likely to be eliminated of the Galus. At Tribal Council, Russell used his idol, cancelling all seven of the votes against him and blindsiding Kelly 4-0. She became the second juror.
At the Final Tribal Council, Kelly ignored Mick Trimming. She also viewed Natalie as dependent on others for everything, but she rebutted Kelly by saying that she gradually grew more self-confident. Kelly then asked Russell if his character in the game was how he acted in real life. Russell denied this, saying he an honorable man and was worried about what his kids would think of him. Kelly had a hard time believing Russell's answer and voted for Natalie to be the Sole Survivor.
