Joaquin Souberbielle is a contestant from Survivor: Worlds Apart.

Joaquin's erratic strategic game led himself and So Kim to mismanage an early-game advantage and fail to cover up their tracks. After a tribe switch, he formed a "bros' alliance" with Rodney Lavoie Jr., garnering the mistrust of his other tribemates. This resulted in his elimination a day before the merge due to a campaign spearheaded by Mike Holloway.

Survivor[]

Joaquin started on the Masaya (White Collar) tribe, where he was selected as the representative for his tribe and picked So Kim to assist him in making a decision on behalf of the tribe on Day 1. Shortly after arriving at their camp before the rest of the tribe, So and Joaquin learned that their choice was between a big bag of beans or a clue to a Hidden Immunity Idol. They chose to deceive by taking the idol clue and they became allies. The two then fabricated a lie about a neutral option, which none of their tribemates believed, putting him and So on the bottom of the tribe. So and Joaquin were never successful in finding the idol as Carolyn Rivera had found it after seeing them looking around camp.

When Masaya lost the first Immunity Challenge on Day 3, So began targeting Carolyn because she was the oldest woman on the tribe and accused her of not volunteering in crucial parts of the challenge. So and Joaquin tried to campaign to get Max Dawson and Tyler Fredrickson on their side. Max however declined, but Tyler started considering So's plan. At Tribal Council, Joaquin was left in the dark as his only ally So was blindsided as the first casualty. Despite being on the bottom, the tribe got annoyed by Max and his ally Shirin Oskooi's antics around camp. However, Masaya won the next four challenges in a row, putting any plans on hold.

When the Tribe Switch occurred on Day 12, Joaquin and Tyler were switched to the new Escameca tribe, where he bonded with Rodney Lavoie Jr. due to having common lifestyles. When Escameca lost immunity on Day 16, Rodney had plotted with Mike Holloway prior to the challenge to throw it in order to get rid of Joe Anglim for being a physical and social threat at the merge. But unknown to him, Mike and Dan Foley felt threatened by Rodney and Joaquin's bromance and decided to betray Rodney and side with Joe by voting out Joaquin to break up the two. This left Sierra Dawn Thomas as the swing vote. At Tribal Council, Joaquin, Rodney, and Tyler stuck to their plan in voting Joe, but Sierra sided with Dan, Joe, and Mike in blindsiding Joaquin, shocking Rodney.
