Jessica Johnston is a contestant from Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
Notable for her "romantic" bond with Cole Medders, Jessica managed to avoid Tribal Council until the merge. However, she was voted out at Solewa's first Tribal Council after speculation about the possibility of Joe Mena having a Hidden Immunity Idol emerged, causing her to barely miss out on the jury.

Hometown: Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Current residence: Louisville, Ky.
Occupation: Nurse Practitioner
Hobbies: Personal training and all things outdoors and fun.
Pet peeves: Any and all can openers—they just don't work.
Three words to describe you: Tenacious, congenial, and adventurous.
What's your personal claim to fame? Obtaining my doctorate in Nursing before the age of 28 and creating a health and wellness brand "Belovist."
Who or what is your inspiration in life? Cliché – My parents. They both have devoted their lives to helping others. They have worked hard and excelled in education and careers—showing me that hard work pays off. They have shown me what true love means as well as the value of family and having a relationship with Christ. Even in my adult life, I remember the wisdom and lessons they've taught me while growing up, and it keeps this scattered mind of mine on point! They are my biggest fans, and I am theirs.
If you could have three things on the island, what would they be and why? First it would be baby powder because it makes my hair do incredible things and brightens up the face. It's like taking a powder bath! Next would be a Swiss army knife so I can cut things like wood, food, and clothes. Finally, a fishing pole because this girl likes to eat!
Survivor contestant you're most like: Probably Andrea Boehlke. One of my biggest personality strengths is being likeable and able to entertain a crowd! I can relate to thinking that the world is at my fingertips, but really I don't like to compare myself to others. I just try to be my best self!
What's your reason for being on Survivor: I'm looking for the time of my life! Of course the money, adventure, and opportunities to challenge myself physically, emotionally, and spiritually in ways that I haven't been challenged before.
Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor? I am extremely physically and mentally resilient as well as disciplined. I am driven by failures, challenges, and goals. I don't react solely on "good feelings." When I sense there is something to be accomplished, my Type A personality comes out! In the same breath, my sanguine personality always stands out as being a super-social optimist, which will give me favor with the other players. I could win Miss Congeniality of Survivor if there was such an award!
Jessica began the season on the Soko (dubbed "The Healers") tribe. During her time on Soko, Jessica formed a quick friendship with Cole Medders, who eventually told her about Joe Mena finding the tribe's Hidden Immunity Idol. Though Jessica was initially pleased by this revelation, she later became upset after Cole began to share the information with the other members of the tribe. Luckily, Soko won every Immunity Challenge for the first 8 days, keeping Jessica safe from Tribal Council.
On Day 9, Jessica was switched to the Yawa tribe, along with Cole and Mike Zahalsky. After winning the Reward Challenge that day, Jessica found an advantage in her chip bag, which allowed her to prevent a player from voting at the next Tribal Council. She immediately told Cole and Mike of her advantage, but Cole again violated her trust after he told outsiders Lauren Rimmer and Ben Driebergen about it. Ultimately, Jessica ended up using the advantage to block Devon Pinto's vote after Levu lost the Day 11 Immunity Challenge, hoping to protect the original Soko members on the tribe.
Weary of Cole for his constant untrustworthiness, Jessica began to grow closer to Mike, even helping him acquire Yawa's Hidden Immunity Idol. Despite this, Jessica still held feelings for Cole, showing great care and concern after he fainted on Day 15. This incident made Jessica reaffirm her loyalty to Cole, realizing that she couldn't play the game without a tight ally in him.
Due to Yawa's extensive winning streak, Jessica was among the contestants to make the merge on Day 17, joining the new Solewa tribe. Jessica quickly reestablished allegiances with original Healers Desi Williams and Joe, hoping to form a seven-person alliance (herself, Cole, Mike, Desi, Joe, Ben, and Lauren) against the growing contingent of Heroes and Hustlers. Unbeknownst to Jessica however, Ben had grown irritated by Cole's frequent consumption of the tribe's food supply, and defected to the rival alliance along with Lauren. Though the new majority initially planned to target Cole or Joe, they eventually decided to vote against Jessica, believing her least likely to posses a Hidden Immunity Idol. Thus, at the first merged Tribal Council, Jessica and her Healer allies confidently cast their votes against Chrissy Hofbeck. However, with Ben and Lauren voting against her, Jessica was blindsided in a 7-5 vote.
