Jeanne Hebert is a contestant from Survivor: The Amazon.

Although a strong member of the Jaburu tribe, Jeanne was ostracized due to her alliance with JoAnna Ward. After JoAnna was voted out, she was temporarily saved by the tribe switch, where she got along well with her tribe. After a narrow loss at an Immunity Challenge, she was voted out due to Heidi Strobel flipping after getting promised safety by Dave Johnson.

Jeanne Hebert graduated from Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., with a degree in Economics. She currently works as the director of marketing for the New England Dairy Promotion Board. She previously worked as a sales manager and restaurant manager.

Her favorite hobbies are cooking, working out with friends and creating new ways to have fun. She describes herself as enthusiastic, free-spirited and outgoing. She has little desire to be in politics. She is most proud of raising her family. Her favorite film is "Sound of Music." She once won a $25,000 shopping spree from a radio station contest and has appeared on a jumbo tron in front of 17,000 people at the Boston Fleet Center after leaping on stage at the encouragement of Alanis Morissette, who was looking for volunteers to help sing one of her songs. Her mother (who passed away 5 years ago) is her hero. She considers this an opportunity of a lifetime and wants to prove that a 40 year-old woman with three kids, a husband, a dog and a full time job can be the ultimate survivor.

Hebert currently lives in North Attleboro, Mass., with her husband, Carl, and three children, Kaitlyn, Madison and C.J. They have a very active border collie named Holly "Wood" Hebert. Her birth date is January 6, 1962.[1]

Survivor[]

Jeanne was placed on the all-female Jaburu tribe. The women were largely inept at camp life, but Jeanne did catch a very small fish with JoAnna Ward. Jaburu won the first two challenges, but their shelter was incomplete and the camp was unhygienic. However, everything turned into an uproar when a granola bar wrapper was discovered. In response, Jeanne voiced her opinion that she suspected Janet Koth of smuggling it. When Jaburu lost the next Immunity Challenge, Janet decided to cast her vote against Jeanne for starting the rumor against her. In the end, Janet was voted out for the granola bar incident and for being the weakest in the tribe anyway.

Jaburu won the next two challenges, winning them toiletries and immunity. Things at camp improved as well, under the guidance of Deena Bennett. However, Jeanne and JoAnna were the only other people working at camp. Both women were irked by the others lack of work ethic. In the same way, the younger women were annoyed with JoAnna and Jeanne because they felt that the women were trying to make them feel bad. The women lost the Reward Challenge and Shawna Mitchell had a breakdown. After Jaburu lost a fishing contest to the Tambaqui men, Shawna begged her alliance to be voted out. Deena shot that idea down immediately because that would mean forfeiting one of the alliance's numbers. Jeanne and JoAnna were ready to grant Shawna's wish. However, she was shocked when JoAnna was voted out instead; Shawna was also shocked it wasn't her voted out.

Jeanne was very angered that the strong JoAnna was sent home over the weaker and low spirited Shawna. Jeanne heard them talk about someone not being a part of the team and suspected it was her. Deena said it was Christy Smith because of her attitude. Jenna Morasca complimented her work ethic. Jeanne did not believe either of the women and said they can work while she relaxes. The tribe got Tree Mail, asking for the youngest person. Jenna was the youngest, which allowed her to leave and go out to have fun. When Jenna returned the next day, she announced that Jeanne, Christy, and Heidi Strobel would be on the Tambaqui tribe. Jeanne was glad because she was next on the chopping block. The group got along well. However, the new Tambaqui lost the Immunity Challenge. Not knowing who to vote against, the women decided to draw sticks. Butch Lockley had the shortest stick and they decided on him. However, Dave Johnson attempted to convince Heidi to flip on Jeanne. Heidi had to choose between voting out someone outside of her original alliance but forfeiting control to the men, or forcing a 3-3 tie. Unfortunately for Jeanne, Heidi sided with the men and Jeanne was voted out in a 4-2 vote.
