Imogen Bailey is a contestant from Celebrity Survivor Australia.

Seen as a weak link on the original Moso tribe, Imogen was spared by a timely tribe-swap and was able to convince Kakula member Gabrielle Richens to betray her alliance and join herself and Nicolle Dickson in blindsiding Wayne Gardner. From there, Imogen took control at the merge, picking off former Kakula members Guy Leech and Elton Flatley, as well as former ally Justin Melvey who found himself embroiled in controversy. After David Oldfield won immunity, the girls were forced to turn each other, and Imogen stuck with close ally Nicolle to vote out Gabrielle. In a twist, Guy and Justin returned to the game and the pair were able to convince Imogen and Nicolle to target David for his strength in challenges. This proved to be Imogen's undoing as the girls were no match for the boys in challenges. As such, the boys were able to eliminate Nicolle in a tense tiebreaker jury vote, and Imogen soon followed.

Imogen Bailey is best known as a model, ambassador for People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and a singer/songwriter. She's currently working on some new material with musician James Blundell.

This year has also seen her get into writing – she’s a columnist for men’s magazine Zoo Weekly and has been studying at the Sydney Writers’ Centre.

Imogen freely admits that nerves are getting the better of her when it comes to the thought of competing on Celebrity Survivor.

“I’m well aware that as contestants we’re going to be put under extremely stressful situations and that there’s a high possibility we’re going to break,” she laughs.

“I know this is probably going to be the biggest challenge I’ve faced. I think for anybody put under stress like that though, it’s hard to keep it together. You forget the cameras are there but you need to remember at the end of the day, while your isolation becomes your reality, there is a world outside of that and it’s all going to be OK!”

Indeed, despite her reservations about roughing it in Vanuatu, Imogen, 29, thinks she has several strengths.

“I’ve been training at a fantastic women’s gym and have been working with a personal trainer there who’s a former Miss Aerobics and bodybuilder!” she laughs. “I think from a determination side of things, I’m also mentally strong. I realise too what a blessing it is to be offered the opportunity to put yourself in those situations."

“I’m not somebody that’s normally competitive or bitchy,” she says. “I really don’t like double crossing people or having it done to me though so that’s going to be hard. It’s something that I’ve been trying to psych myself into – the fact that if I’m going to win the money for my charity then I need to be serious about having a strategy."

“I’ve done some research though. I’ve tried to work out how to make a shelter, which way the leaves on your shelter should go, techniques to make the water run off them and how to change salt water into drinking water or washing water, should we need it. I just hope I don’t end up with dreadlocks because I’d hate to have to shave my head unless it was for a good cause!”

Imogen had an incredibly rocky start on the Moso tribe, falling victim to the elements very early on, most evident in her pitiful performance at the Day 2 Reward Challenge placed her on the bottom of the tribe's power structure. This, combined with her frequent feuding with tribemate Fiona Horne, placed her on the outs of her tribe, and she was very nearly voted out first on Day 3, however she was saved by Kym Johnson requesting the tribe to vote her out. Despite a lack of allies, Imogen was able to bond with Nicolle Dickson over their hunger and disdain for the island lifestyle.

A very timely tribe switch on Day 6 swapped Imogen over to the new Kakula tribe with her friend Nicolle, however Imogen still found herself in the minority against the three former Kakula members. Imogen and Nicolle decided to form an alliance to combat the majority, however Kakula proved to be the dominant of the two tribes, winning both Immunity Challenges on Day 7 and Day 9. During this time, the duo noticed Gabrielle Richens' thinning relationship with her alliance, and so they decided to attempt to recruit her to their side. This eventually culminated after Kakula lost the Immunity Challenge on Day 11, when Gabrielle decided to flip on her alliance and join the girls in voting out Wayne Gardner.

When the tribes merged on Day 12, Imogen immediately took immense power as the dominant figure in the major alliance. Despite not having worked together previously, Justin Melvey's former alliance with Nicolle allowed the three girls and Justin to form a major alliance within the tribe. Despite Guy Leech's best efforts to flip Gabrielle back to his side, the newfound majority were able to boot Guy on Day 13. A day later, Imogen's challenge strength appeared to be improving after she won a joint reward with Gabrielle and David Oldfield, the latter of whom had been attempting to distance himself from his former allies. This combined with David's immunity streak then led to Elton Flatley's elimination on Day 15.

However, cracks in the alliance began to form after Nicolle revealed to Imogen that Justin had approached her earlier in the game offering her money if she remained in the game. This combined with Nicolle bringing Imogen on reward on Day 16 drew a line in the sand between the two sides of the alliance. Imogen and Nicolle began working on trying to flip Gabrielle on Justin, and despite winning the next individual immunity over David, Imogen's target was set on Justin. She gave up her individual immunity to Nicolle at tribal council in fear of being percieved as hiding behind it, convincing Gabrielle to turn on Justin and solidifying the three girls' alliance. However, David once again returned to form at the next Immunity Challenge, and being forced to turn on each other, Imogen and Nicolle decided to turn on Gabrielle thanks to their tight bond.

On Day 20, a twist was revealed that allowed two of the four members of the jury to return to the game. This competition was won by Guy and Justin, and the two, realising their minority within the tribe, formed a tight alliance. After Imogen won immunity once again on Day 21, the girls feared that the boys would try and work together to vote out Nicolle at the next tribal council. This paranoia proved to be fatal for both of their games; when the duo of Guy and Justin approached the girls with the prospect of voting out David, the two blindly accepted, believing David would rather take one of the boys to the end than one of the girls.

Imogen was brought on the next reward by Guy, however this was not enough to convince Imogen to turn on Nicolle. However, the split tribe the girls had caused by voting out David caused a problem when Guy won immunity the next day. Knowing that Guy had more past votes out of the two and understanding the next tribal would lead to a deadlock tiebreaker, the girls had no option but to once again target Justin. The vote ended up deadlocked between Justin and Nicolle, and since they had the same number of past votes, the jury decided on who left the game, ultimately voting off Nicolle, both in support of Guy and in a lack of support for the girls. Now on the outs, Imogen failed to win immunity when it was most crucial, and thanks to Guy's clever manipulation in preventing her from campaigning for herself, Imogen was voted out by Justin's sole vote on Day 24, becoming the fifth and final member of the jury.

Despite Imogen's last-minute defeat, her question towards Justin was surprisingly non-critical, merely asking why he deserved to win. Imogen stressed she though Justin was the better of the two players at the end and ultimately voted for him to win the game. However, Justin ended up losing to Guy in a 3-2 vote.
