I Promise... is the tenth episode of Survivor: Micronesia.

Story[]

Night 24[]

The tribe debriefed after Eliza's fake idol play at tribal. Cirie noted that it might not have been such a bad thing if Ozzy had gone home because the idol was real.

Day 25[]

Jason realized that he had been duped by Ozzy, but hung his hat on the fact that he beat him in the previous Immunity Challenge.

At the Reward Challenge, Cirie was not chosen to participate and was thus sent to Exile Island. The orange team of Jason, Ozzy, Amanda, and Erik defeated the purple team of James, Natalie, Alexis, and Parvati.

At the reward, the contestants were greeted by a plentiful buffet. Erik was taken aback by the topless native women, noting it was "probably the most boobs [he'd] seen in [his] life." Ozzy took note of Erik's innocence, including beetle nut, the local form of tobacco. He then threw up later that night.

At Exile Island, Cirie was decimated by a terrible storm.

Day 26[]

Cirie woke up the next morning to the same storm. She identified Ozzy as the biggest threat in the game, not to mention his powerful Immunity Idol. She decided she might try to get Ozzy out.

Back at Dabu, Natalie, Parvati, and Alexis were annoyed by James' noisiness in the early morning. James didn't want to hear it, as they had been lazy themselves. When the reward winners returned, Ozzy bragged about the delectable food they had on reward. James and Amanda were wary of Parvati's closeness with Alexis and Natalie, and were realized that she could easily flip.

Day 27[]

At the Immunity Challenge, Jeff brought out temptations to try and lure the contestants off their perch. Cirie and Erik stepped off for candy. Alexis, Natalie, and James lost their concentration when Jeff brought out the cookies and milk, but none spoke up to actually get it. Ozzy came down for donuts, and Amanda had to use the bathroom. That left Parvati and Jason. At the 6 hour mark, Jeff brought out a monstrous plate of food that the whole tribe would share if one of them stepped down. One by one, the contestants guaranteed Jason his safety in exchange for his stepping down. He took the risk and stepped down, granting Parvati immunity.

After they returned to camp, Ozzy called Jason's move one of the dumbest in Survivor history. Ozzy, along with James and Amanda, were ready to vote Jason out. However, Cirie hatched a plan to oust Ozzy, bringing in Natalie, Alexis, and Parvati to form the Black Widow Brigade. With Jason's vote, they would have enough to eliminate the unsuspecting Ozzy. Parvati acknowledged that she would have to backstab three close allies, James, Amanda, and Ozzy in order for the plan to work. Ozzy mentioned that someone could flip on him, and said he might bring the idol just to be safe.

At Tribal Council, the tribe acknowledged that Ozzy's idol possession was common knowledge. They then discussed the day's Immunity Challenge. James said that Jason's move was foolish, while Parvati said that it could work out. Ozzy said he felt comfortable. After the votes were cast, he opted not to play his idol. Four of the first five votes were for Jason, but the last four were all for Ozzy, blindsiding him and flushing the idol by a tally of 5-4. The first juror, Eliza, reacted to Ozzy's blindside with both excitement and confusion.

Challenges[]

Challenge: Bai Bai
The castaways would split into two teams of four in a Schoolyard Pick, with the castaway not being picked sent to Exile Island. One at a time, a castaway from each team would swim out to a multi-level net tunnel that they would have to crawl through. After another short swim, they would reach a floating platform that contained a wall with a set of Micronesian symbols laid out in a pyramid shape. The castaway would then return to the starting position and attempt to replicate the pattern of symbols onshore. The first team to match the symbols onshore with the pattern on the platform would win.
Reward: A flight to a village on Yap for a feast, watching a traditional dance, and spending the night in a chief's traditional house
Winners: Orange Team (Amanda Kimmel, Erik Reichenbach, Jason Siska, and Ozzy Lusth) (exiled Cirie Fields)

Challenge: When It Rains, It Pours
The castaways would stand on a log, one arm above their head, with their wrist tethered to a bucket of water on top of a platform. The castaway who could stand there the longest without tipping the bucket would win. During the challenge, Jeff would tempt the castaways to quit with offerings of food, including donuts, cookies, and various other foods.
Winner: Parvati Shallow

Ozzy
(voting against Jason) That was such a risky move tonight, and honestly, man, I hope you don't hold it against me, but I gotta vote for you, it's the only way.
S16 natalie t
Natalie
(voting against Ozzy) This is because in the real world or in this game, my word is still everything I have. I gave Jason my word and you are the biggest threat so you have to go, sorry.
S16 erik t
Erik
(voting against Jason) There are no guarantees in this game, only immunity. You should know that. And my word is only worth as much as your word to me, and your word to me is worth nothing. Thanks for the cookies!
S16 cirie t
Cirie
(voting against Ozzy) Sorry, but there comes a time in this game where certain moves are necessary to further yourself and this is just an opportunity that I couldn't pass up, so obviously, no hard feelings, it was just a strategic move.
S16 jason t
Jason
(voting against Ozzy) My vote for tonight is Ozzy. Pretty much the same reasons as the previous Tribal Council, you're the strongest member here. Hopefully, everyone that told me about this vote goes along with it and, you'll be going home tonight instead of me.
S16 parvati t
Parvati
(voting against Ozzy) I am so, so sorry. I love you so much and respect you as a competitor, but I'm here to win this game and I can't do that with you in it. Sorry.
S16 amanda t
Amanda
(voting against Jason) I know I said I wouldn't vote for you, but everyone is voting for you, so I have to go with the majority, I'm so sorry, good luck with everything.
S16 alexis t
Alexis
(voting against Ozzy) Ozzy, I absolutely adore you, I wish I had the power to keep you in this game longer but I just wanted the majority today. I'm sorry.
S16 james t
James
(voting against Jason) I thought I was the dumbest survivor ever.

Final Words[]

S16 ozzy bw
Ozzy
I'm an idiot. I should have seen it coming but I got too comfortable. I felt like I could trust the people in my alliance, serves me right. I'm a fool. I'm a fool for thinking that. And to whoever it was in my alliance that voted the other way, right now, I pretty much hate you. So screw you, basically.

Trivia[]

Behind the Scenes[]

Life at Ponderosa[]

A furious Ozzy heads to Ponderosa, calling himself "an idiot" for not playing his Hidden Immunity Idol which he left back at the Dabu camp. Ozzy is welcomed by Eliza, who is itching to know how the blindside came to be. Eliza ponders that the fans versus favorites tribal lines are now irrelevant. Ozzy says he is anxious to welcome their next juror, to finally know how he got voted out. Until then, Ozzy decides to binge eat to release his anger.

The next day, Ozzy spends the rest of the day surfing, watching movies with Eliza, and playing video games. Ozzy then regrets overeating, for he felt "lethargic" for doing so. Meanwhile, Eliza checks her weight once again, where she gained 7 lbs. since arriving at Ponderosa. Later, Ozzy and Eliza are taken to have a snorkeling expedition. While diving, Ozzy decides to bring clams for dinner. At night, Ozzy cooks out on the beach. During the cookout, a sea snake slithers his way through the beach, scaring Eliza. Despite Eliza warning him not to touch the venonmous snake, Ozzy carefully handles it and sends the snake back at sea.[2][3]
