Fiona Horne is a contestant from Celebrity Survivor Australia.

Placed on the Moso tribe, Fiona started the game on the wrong foot after assuming leadership of the team, annoying the rest of her team. Fiona's bossy persona only further distanced herself from her tribe, however, her strong challenge performance was what kept her in the game. However, after the tribe swap on Day 6, Fiona's grumpy attitude wasn't tolerated by the former Kakula members, and, with the help of Fiona's rival and former Moso member Amber Petty, Fiona was voted out, making Amber and Justin Melvey lose their majority.

She's based in Hollywood and is known worldwide as everything from a best-selling author and TV host to a rock star and white witch.

But Fiona Horne is keen to dispel any myths about leading a purely pampered existence.

“People might think I live the Hollywood life but I’m actually a real outdoorsy person and I love roughing it,” she says. “When I travel myself, I always go somewhere like the Philippines or Bali...I like to go somewhere where you just sleep in a $2 shack on the beach, scuba dive and just hang out with the locals eating the local food."

“So there won’t be showers. Fine, I’ll jump in the ocean. There won’t be a toilet. Fine, I’ll go under a bush. And if it rains – I’m not made of sugar, I’m not going to melt. I’ll sit under a tree or I’ll grab a big palm leaf and put it over my head. I’ll work it out.”

In the ‘90s Fiona was the lead singer/songwriter for popular Aussie techno/rock group DEF FX. The band’s success paved the way for a broadcasting and publishing career which has seen her write, produce and host on TV shows such as the UK love advice series Sexy Spells, Australia’s Beauty And The Beast and the US hit Mad House.

She has also written seven bestselling books on witchcraft and an eighth, Bewitch A Man, is set for release later this year. In addition, Fiona is an expert SCUBA diver, and is a licensed snake handler!

Perhaps not so surprising then for someone so comfortable with the outdoors, Fiona says her major concern about competing in Celebrity Survivor is the politics.

“They say it’s not about being the fittest, it’s about who you can align yourself with and the mind games you play,” she says. “But if anything, that’s going to be my weak spot because my mother’s always said I wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m very trusting and I’d sooner think something good of someone. If someone’s falling behind or having trouble, I’m more likely to turn around and help them… I just don’t want to be the first voted off. If I could make it to the final five I would be the happiest girl in the world.”

Fiona's chosen charity is Project Aware.

Celebrity Survivor Australia[]

Fiona was an integral part of the original Moso tribe, stepping up to the role of leader from the very first day on the island. Her bossy temperament rubbed many of her tribemates the wrong way, however they also found her to be a valuable inclusion to the tribe, adapting to the elements better than other members. This didn't stop her from feuding with Imogen Bailey who she perceived as weak and an easy target. Fiona campaigned for Imogen's ousting after losing the Day 3 Immunity Challenge, however Kym Johnson's request to be voted out put Fiona's plans on hold. The Moso tribe continued to struggle, and Fiona formed an alliance with fellow members Amber Petty, Justin Melvey and Nicolle Dickson to finally boot her rival from the game. However, this never came to fruition as Moso won the next immunity challenge, keeping Imogen safe.

The game was turned upside down by the introduction of a Tribe Switch on Day 6, however fortunes were in Fiona's favour as she remained on Moso with allies Amber and Justin. Prospects were looking better for the new Moso tribe as they won the Reward Challenge that day, however Fiona's sour attitude continued to gain the ire of her tribemates, including her allies who reprimanded her for her paranoia and constant arguments across the tribe. This culminated in her eventual blindside; on Day 7, Moso lost the Immunity Challenge, and although her alliance agreed to vote out the older David Oldfield to keep the tribe strong, Amber didn't want to deal with Fiona's attitude anymore. As such, Amber flipped on Fiona, causing her to be blindsided in a 3-2 vote.
