Hali Ford is a contestant from Survivor: Worlds Apart and Survivor: Game Changers.

In Worlds Apart, Hali formed a bond with fellow free spirits Jenn Brown and Joe Anglim, with the three taking control of the Nagarote tribe. However, their Nagarote Alliance entered the merge down in numbers to the opposing Escameca Alliance and despite earning a reprieve after playing their Hidden Immunity Idol, the alliance failed to find a weak link who would flip from the Escameca Alliance. Although Hali was not seemingly in immediate danger, the target, Joe, won immunity, and she was eliminated as the first member of the jury.

Returning in Game Changers, Hali vowed to change her game entirely to advance her further. However, due to poor luck and inability to get into the original Nuku majority, Hali found herself outside of both of the major alliances after the merge. While she was initially the secondary target in a split vote, Cirie Fields and Zeke Smith managed to turn the majority of the tribe against her, leading Hali to become the first member of the jury again.

Name (Age): Hali Ford, 25
Tribe Designation: No Collar (Nagarote)
Current Residence: San Francisco
Occupation: Law Student
Personal Claim to Fame: Catching a huuuge wave last winter in Kauai.
Inspiration in Life: Clara S. Foltz- First female lawyer on the west coast and inventor of public defense. I admire her trail-blazing approach to law and life. My law school, UC Hastings, refused to admit her based on sex, so she sued them and graduated at the top of her class (while raising five children).
Hobbies: Surfing, jiu jitsu, motorcycles and whatever comes my way.
What is your favorite sport? Jiu-jitsu and surfing.
Pet Peeves: Not maximizing time and resources.
3 Words to Describe You: Tenacious, free and focused.
If You Could Have 3 Things on The Island What Would They Be and Why? 1. Law school bar review book - so I can stay sharp, plus it doubles as a journal. 2. A pen and journal - to map out strategy. 3. Ukulele - because it lifts the spirits and could become useful in other, non-musical ways.
Survivor Contestant You Are Most Like: Parvati Shallow because she is fun and vivacious, but more than meets the eye, always planning, calculating risks both strategic and social. She is physically strong and undaunted by rejection and resistance. We also have matching tats.
Reason for Being on Survivor: The game itself. It is the ultimate personal challenge and something to tell the grandkids.
Why You'll "Survive" Survivor: I'm inimitably resourceful. Last summer, I caught a fish in a plastic grocery bag while camping and cleaned and cooked the fish for friends. I'm upbeat and fun, so surviving socially will be no sweat. I also perform well under pressure.

Why Will You Be the Sole Survivor: I grab everything I do by the horns and don't let go until I get what I want. Survivor will be no different.[1]

Age: 26
Hometown: Knoxville, TN
Previously played on: Season 30: White, Blue, No Collar, Finished 11th & Jury Member
How have you changed since the last time you played? I'm back with a honed sense of self, a new passion for Survivor, and a vendetta from my wasted last game.
What skills do you bring to Survivor that will make you a useful member of the group and what skills have you been learning since you last played? I easily make strong social connections with many personality types, I'm resourceful and handy when it comes to living off the land, and I'm decently smart. I'd say the most valuable skill I've learned since my last game is how to play Survivor. I've also become a bonafide criminal-defense attorney, which involves battling cop shenanigans on the daily, which I expect may be a thing in this game.
What are you most proud of from the last time? NOTHING. Honestly, I would not put my name on anything I did in the last game.
What, if anything, do you most regret? EVERYTHING. But if I must name only one regret, it has to be failing to switch strategies immediately at the merge.

How will you play differently this time? My head and heart were everywhere but in the game last time. This time, I'm going balls-to-the-wall. If it's a crime to play Survivor with abandon, take me to jail after the Final Tribal Council. We've got some heavyweights in this game and I'm ready to claim their titles.[2]

Worlds Apart[]

Hali began on the "No Collar" Nagarote tribe, where she formed an early bond with Jenn Brown. Despite a victory in the initial Immunity Challenge, the tribe lost on Day 6. Before the vote, Hali and Jenn formed an alliance with Joe Anglim, targeting Nina Poersch due to her constant complaints about her hearing disability. At Tribal Council, the vote split between Nina, Jenn, and Vince Sly, but a pivotal flip by Will Sims II blindsided Vince in a 3-2-1 vote. Hali's alliance succeeded in eliminating Nina on the next vote, overcoming some internal dilemmas about voting out Will.

After a tribe switch on Day 12, Hali remained with Jenn and Will on Nagarote. Following the switch, Hali and the rest of the tribe grew frustrated with Max Dawson and Shirin Oskooi's constant strategic discussions, and she contributed to the former's elimination at the Day 14 Tribal Council. After Nagarote's Immunity win on Day 17, Hali joined the merged tribe Merica.

Post-merge, Hali and Jenn reconnected with Joe and also recruited Shirin into their alliance. However, Will's defection to the Escameca Alliance left them in an 8-4 deficit. Despite Jenn using a Hidden Immunity Idol to eliminate Kelly Remington on Day 19, Hali and her allies struggled to gain traction. Facing a 7-4 vote on Day 22, Hali became the first jury member after she failed to pull Sierra Dawn Thomas and Tyler Fredrickson to her side.

At the Final Tribal Council, Hali queried Carolyn Rivera about how being a mother impacted her game. Though Hali seemed satisfied with Carolyn's responses, she ultimately voted for Mike Holloway to be the Sole Survivor, who secured a 6-1-1 victory.

Game Changers[]

Entering the game wanting to play more like a "Cobra" compared to her first time, Hali was initially placed on the Mana tribe. By Day 6, the tribe had divided between two rival alliances: one led by Sandra Diaz-Twine and the other by Tony Vlachos. Hali sided with the former's faction, contributing to Tony's elimination at the second Tribal Council.

Hali remained on Manu following the tribe switch on Day 7, where she was left in a 4-2 minority alongside Caleb Reynolds against the original Nuku. When the tribe lost immunity again on Day 9, Hali became a potential target for elimination. However, due to Caleb's prior relationship with Tai Trang, he was eliminated over Hali in a unanimous 5-1 vote.

On Day 11, Tavua won immunity, and the losing tribes, Mana and Nuku, had to go to a Joint Tribal Council and vote out one member instead of two. At Tribal Council, Hali collaborated with her original Mana allies to blindside Brad Culpepper. However, after sensing disunity in the Nuku tribe, Hali ultimately voted with Mana, eliminating Malcolm Freberg. Following a second tribe switch on Day 14, Hali remained on Mana. As the tribe would go on to win the remaining Immunity challenges, Hali joined the merged tribe Maku Maku on Day 19.

An outsider to both of Nuku's major alliances, Hali found herself a target ahead of the first merged Tribal Council, alongside Michaela Bradshaw. Not wanting to strike at each other, both sides decided to split the vote between Hali and Michaela. While she was originally the secondary target, Cirie Fields and Zeke Smith managed to turn the vote onto Hali to save Michaela, who they felt they could work with more. Thus At Tribal Council, Hali was blindsided in a 7-4-1-1 vote, becoming the first member of the jury once again.

At the Final Tribal Council, Hali questioned Brad for insinuating that he had used condescension as a strategy. In the end, Hali voted for Sarah Lacina to be the Sole Survivor, which she did in a 7-3-0 vote over Brad and Troyzan Robertson.
