Garrett Adelstein is a contestant from Survivor: Cagayan.
After surprisingly being named the Luzon tribe's weakest member by tribe leader David Samson, Garrett managed to find a Hidden Immunity Idol on Day 1 and orchestrate David's blindside at the season's first Tribal Council. However, after Luzon's second loss, Garrett made the fatal mistake of holding an open forum and telling J'Tia Taylor she would be voted out. Irked by this, Tasha Fox orchestrated his blindside, sending Garrett home with his idol still back at camp.

If You Could Have 3 Things on The Island What Would They Be and Why? One big picture of all the people closest to me in my life to prevent loneliness, one long chain email between myself and my four best friends for endless hilarity, and a naked picture of a girl I enjoy hooking up with, in case all the attractive girls get voted off early.
Reason for Being on Survivor: Win enough money to impress girls in LA; self-growth as I will be forced to deal with extreme circumstances in a way I never imagined possible.
Why You Think You'll "Survive" Survivor: Being a math guy, I'm just gonna go with the odds on this one as it would be statistically unlikely for me to be the first American survivor to die on the island. With that said, I'm sure I will be completely miserable.
Why You Think You Will Be the Sole Survivor: Dedicated 2,000 hours in preparing for the strategic, social and physical elements of Survivor. Did everything from 50 hours of yoga, to over-analyzing every episode, to mastering slide puzzles to ready myself. I essentially devoted my entire life to preparing for this adventure for the previous 6 months.
Do You Consider Yourself a Brain, a Beauty or a Brawn and Why? I'll go with the modest answer and say all three. I'll probably be one of the physically strongest, most intelligent and my mom says I'm very handsome to boot.
Who Do You Think Has the Best Chance in the Game of Survivor: Brains, Beauty or Brawn and Why? If I'm forced to stereotype, I would say either the Brains or the Beauties. Survivor is first and foremost a game of strategy, so the Brains, which are the most logically inclined, are in the best position there. But people aren't going to give you a million dollars if they don't like you, so you can't count the Beauties out.[1]

Because of his poker player background, Garrett was placed on the Luzon tribe. Garrett, the physically strongest member of the tribe, was surprisingly dismissed early on during the First Impressions twist by newly picked Tribe Leader, David Samson, who was tasked to pick whom he perceived to be the weakest. Instead of getting eliminated from the game, Garrett was flown to his tribe's camp while his tribemates walked their way to camp.
When he arrived at camp, Garrett was given the choice of rice for the tribe or a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. Without hesitation, Garrett chose the clue and relentlessly searched for the idol, which he found underwater.
A dismal Immunity Challenge performance sent Luzon to Tribal Council, and back at camp, Garrett again was being targeted by David because the Miami Marlins president saw him as a bigger threat long term. Wanting to get back at David for conspiring against him, Garrett campaigned for David's ouster by approaching J'Tia Taylor, who was distraught because of her weak performance at the Immunity Challenge, and Tasha Fox. Despite ally Spencer Bledsoe's speculations about David having the Hidden Immunity Idol, Garrett's revenge was collected, with David getting voted out, 4-2.
On Day 4, Garrett realized the harsh realities of island life, hating the game's aspect of living in the wilderness. Later on, he and Spencer decided to pull Kass McQuillen, the only person who voted with David at the last Tribal Council, into their alliance. Losing the Immunity Challenge for the second time on Day 6 at J'Tia's expense, the Luzon tribe clearly was divided into two pairs of alliances: Garrett and Spencer, and J'Tia and Tasha, making Kass the swing vote.
Garrett called an open meeting with the tribe to agree on voting out J'Tia to make the tribe stronger. While Kass and Spencer agreed with Garrett, Tasha rejected Garrett's way of playing the game. Later that afternoon, Garrett and Spencer continued strategizing, while Tasha pulled Kass aside to reconsider her options and vote out Garrett instead. With J'Tia alone in the shelter and convinced she was going next, she retaliated by dumping all their rice into the fire, frustrating her tribemates.
At Tribal Council, Garrett haphazardly outed his alliance consisting of Kass and Spencer, isolating J'Tia and Tasha. Kass denied that she was aligned with him, while Garrett shifted the blame to her, telling the tribe she was the mastermind behind the alliance. In the end, Kass was convinced of Garrett's two-facedness and joined the women in voting him out. Garrett, who left all of his belongings at camp, including his Hidden Immunity Idol, was sent home in a 3-2 vote.

- Garrett attended the Survivor edition of The Price Is Right primetime special that aired on May 23, 2016. However, Garrett himself did not compete.
