Survivor[]

Starting out on the Savaii tribe, Semhar was initially seen as one of its most endearing members, captivating the hearts of her tribemates with her talent in poetry. Taking notice of her, Savaii's returning contestant, Ozzy Lusth immediately made an alliance with her. At the inaugural Immunity Challenge on Day 3, which required throwing coconuts into a net, Semhar delegated herself to throw the coconuts for her tribe. Though she showed promise by shooting her first coconut into the net, Semhar became increasingly exhausted as the challenge went on, missing her subsequent attempts. This gave an opening for the rival Upolu tribe to catch up and narrowly win the challenge. Visibly upset by the loss, tribemate Jim Rice openly vented his frustrations at the challenge area.

Back at camp, Jim began to campaign for Semhar's ouster on the basis of her disappointing challenge performance. To counter this, Ozzy would advise Semhar to collect votes to dispose of John Cochran, who was also seen as a physical weak link on the tribe. Jim became suspicious upon learning of Ozzy's plan to keep her, sensing that the veteran player had ulterior motives. At Tribal Council, Semhar was further castigated for doing poorly at the challenge, while Cochran promised that he would be an asset in the long run. Despite Ozzy's best efforts, Cochran's statements worked against Semhar's favor; with all eight votes cast against her (including Ozzy's), the spoken word artist was the first castaway to be sent to Redemption Island.

Upon reaching Redemption Island, Semhar became emotional over how "cold-hearted" her tribemates were to vote her out. As a solution, she used her poetry to console herself. Three days later, following the arrival of Upolu's Christine Shields Markoski, the two would compete in their first duel. To calm and prepare herself, Semhar began reciting some more of her poetry before the duel began, visibly boring Jeff Probst and some of the castaways who volunteered to watch the duel. Unfortunately, Semhar would be permanently eliminated from the competition after losing to Christine. Before leaving the arena, Semhar gave Christine her sweater as a parting gift.
