Sydney Wheeler is a contestant from Survivor: Tocantins.

Starting the game on the Jalapao tribe, Sydney's good looks and flirtatious manner made her a target at Jalapao's early tribal visits, but her strong social game helped her to navigate through them. However, she was voted out just before the merge as J.T. Thomas and Stephen Fishbach wanted to keep alternative target Taj Johnson-George in the game due to her possession of the Hidden Immunity Idol.

Sydney Wheeler (24)
Hometown: Raleigh, N.C.
Occupation: Model

Sydney Wheeler is the girl next door. Beautiful and smart, Sydney learned early on to adapt to any situation after spending her childhood being shuttled between her conservative parents.

Growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina, Sydney decided to move out to the west coast to try her hand at modeling and interior design. She plans to use the skills she's learned working with different clients to help navigate the social game of Survivor. She's also not afraid to use her looks to further herself in the competition.

Forced to mature at an early age, Sydney knows what it really means to live life to its fullest. At age 19 she lost her sister Laura in a tragic car accident, but throughout it all has maintained a positive attitude. "God put us on Earth to do good things, big things and that's what I'm trying to do and achieve in life."

Sydney knows she can use her winning personality, along with her beauty, her body and her brains, to charm people. Wheeler warns, "people stereotype me as just a pretty face. Don't misjudge me, I'm going to win." Sydney is ready for the adventure Survivor will surely provide.

Sydney is in a relationship and currently resides in San Diego, Calif. Her birth date is May 11, 1984.[1]

Survivor[]

Sydney started her game on the Jalapao tribe. During Jalapao's early winning streak, Sydney formed flirtatious friendships with both Joe Dowdle and J.T. Thomas. Sandy Burgin viewed this flirting as deliberately strategic and targeted Sydney after Jalapao lost the Immunity Challenge on Day 12. However, with both Joe and Spencer Duhm at her backing, the rest of the tribe decided to keep Sydney over Sandy, eliminating the latter in a 5-1-1 vote.

After Spencer's elimination on Day 15, Sydney became fearful of the remaining men aligning against her, but was reassured after Joe told her that Taj Johnson-George would be the one voted out if Jalapao lost immunity again. Jalapao would go on to lose the next Immunity Challenge, forcing the tribe to choose between the two women. Though Joe remained committed to Sydney, J.T. and Stephen Fishbach deemed Taj's Hidden Immunity Idol and relationship with Timbira's Brendan Synnott and Sierra Reed more beneficial than Sydney's loyalty. Thus at Tribal Council, Sydney was voted out in a 3-2 vote.
