Koh-Lanta[]
Romain was selected by Marius Torterat to be a part of the Aopoh tribe. The Aopoh tribe got off to a record-breaking start, winning the first six challenges against the rival Karwaï tribe. When the tribe switch occurred at the beginning of the fourth cycle, Romain was selected by Karima Najjarine to be a part of the new Aopoh tribe, which consisted of five original Aopoh tribe members and three original Karwaï tribe members. The second Aopoh tribe lost the following four challenges and the majority of its members had clashed over personalities, challenge strategies, or ideas, including Romain.
After losing the fifth Immunity Challenge, the original Karwaï tribe members took part in Romain's plan to vote out Amir Doukhan in order to force the second Karwaï tribe to sit out one of their men during the next couple of challenges. However, ultimately deciding that he would rather remain loyal to his allies, Romain backed out of his plan when voting at Tribal Council. Instead, the original Aopoh tribe members successfully voted out Lolo Facione. During the following cycle, Romain began to lose ground with his aggressive words while Amir successfully improved his perception around camp and in challenges. Regardless, Amir was voted out next unanimously as his tribemates felt that he had reached his limits in the competition.
Before the merge, the Aopoh and Karwaï tribes selected Cassandre Girard and Romain, respectively, to be the Ambassadors of their rivals. Knowing that the second Aopoh tribe members would be in the minority going into the merge, Romain proposed to Cassandre that she flip over to their side and use her Hidden Immunity Necklaces to eliminate the second Karwaï tribe members. Cassandre refused this proposition and instead suggested that the pair eliminate Laureen Hugel, who had offered herself up to Cassandre in case the latter failed to convince Romain to agree upon eliminating one of his own allies. By that point wanting to flush out Cassandre's Hidden Immunity Necklaces, Romain declined Cassandre's offer and the pair drew rocks. Romain's big risk paid off as Cassandre drew the black rock, eliminating her from the game.
With only five second Aopoh tribe members remaining, Pascal Salviani began prioritizing his own survival and he thus proposed to the second Karwaï tribe members that they join him in splitting their votes between Karima and Romain at the merged tribe's first Tribal Council in order to flush out the former's Hidden Immunity Necklace. At said Tribal Council, Karima played her Hidden Immunity Necklace on herself, negating Pascal's vote against her, but this turned out to be a waste as the second Karwaï tribe members all voted against Romain, eliminating him.
