No Limite 2 is the second season of No Limite filmed in Mato Grosso, Brazil. The season was broadcast from January 28 to March 25, 2001.

Léo Rassi defeated Christina Moreira in a final challenge to become the Sole Survivor.

Production[]

After the huge success of No Limite 1, the production began preparing for the second season of the reality show. In an attempt to represent different social and regional profiles, the production selected representatives from eight Brazilian states: Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Distrito Federal, Pernambuco and Ceará. The twelve selected were taken to a farm in the region of Chapada dos Guimarães, which was flooded by the production with the construction of a dam, where they would live during the 24 days of the show.[1]

Twists[]

  • Especial Jury: At the final four, a jury comprised of the last four eliminated castaways voted out two
  • Jury Tiebreaker: In case of a tie at Tribal Council, the jury would vote to decide who would be eliminated. If there were no jury members that could vote, a re-vote would take place.

Trivia[]

  • After analyzing Lhitts's disqualification, production decided that her departure from camp was for health reasons and decided to give her the consolation prize established in the contract.[2]
  • After the leaking of the first season's winner, production decided to reveal the winner of No Limite 2 live. For this, the final challenge was filmed only in the presence of the finalists and the host, so that neither the camera nor the participants knew who had won.[3]
