Bocas del Toro[]

In Bocas del Toro, Antoine was a member of the chaotic Boro tribe and spent the first few days of the game building a good shelter with Philippe Huquet and Richard Lecourt. Though he was the only tribe member apart from Richard himself to not vote against Richard at the first elimination, he became a part of the majority and was never in danger of elimination throughout the tribal phase. Around camp, Antoine was praised for his strong work ethic, crafty inventions, paternal attitude, and fishing contributions, but he was also criticized for being too commandeering, his complaining when his fishing excursions were less fruitful, and his patronization of the female contestants when it came to some of the tasks around camp.

While Hélène Patry and Linda Penard were in discordance with the rest of the tribe, especially during the fourth cycle, Antoine tried to stay out of the drama and keep the peace. When Hélène accused Moundir Zoughari of playing "only for the money." Moundir angrily asked Hélène who told her that, to which Linda responded that he did himself. Antoine, who was Moundir's closest ally, tried to calm down the situation and clear any confusion by testifying that Moundir said that he wanted to use the money to help pay off his mother's debts if he won, but it was too late as Moundir threatened Linda and stormed around in a rage. At the corresponding elimination, Moundir received votes from Hélène and Linda due to his recent behaviour, but Linda was ultimately voted out due to her actions at the corresponding Immunity Challenge and due to her combative character.

When the tribes merged, Moussa Niangane immediately informed the original Boro tribe members that he is willing to flip on his original tribemates and developed a close bond with Moundir. The other original Machiga tribe members countered this by playing up to Antoine's sense of work ethic in order to try to flip him to their side. They failed to budge Antoine and Sébastien Loew was the target of Moussa and the original Boro tribe members at the merged tribe's first elimination.

By the time there were six contestants remaining, although the tribe was appreciative of Antoine's strong worth ethic, they had plans to vote him out at the next elimination because they were annoyed by some of his antics and because of allegations that Antoine had made bigoted remarks concerning Moussa and Moundir. Hélène and Moundir had given their word to Antoine earlier in the game that they wouldn't vote against him, but they were fully aware that Delphine Bano, Moussa, and Isabelle Seguin were voting against Antoine and supported it. Therefore, Antoine was voted out in a 3-2-1 vote, but was not eliminated from the game and was instead exiled for 48 hours where he missed out on the next reward and Immunity Challenges. This occurred because Philippe was permanently evacuated due to an infection on Day 14 and Linda refused to return to the game in Philippe's place due to the tension between her and Moundir. When Antoine returned to camp, he told the rest of the tribe that he was not bitter and that he wanted a fresh start, but the rest of the tribe was skeptical on whether he would change or not. He addressed Moussa and told him that he never used a racial slur in reference to Moussa behind his back like it was rumoured that he did. Concerning Moundir, Delphine and Hélène had claimed that, earlier in the competition, after Moundir had asked Antoine not to cook the pig in the wok because he would no longer be able to use the wok for religious reasons if the latter did so, Antoine had commented behind Moundir's back that Muslims were violent thieves. Considering that this was his motivation for supporting Antoine's vote-out at the last elimination, Moundir had a one-on-one conversation with him and asked him if what Delphine and Hélène had said was true. Antoine responded that he did comment that he finds it stupid that Moundir's religion prevents him from eating pork when there is little other food around, but that he had never said what Delphine and Hélène had claimed he said. At the next elimination, discussions about rumours of Antoine's bigoted remarks were settled for good and the three males voted out Hélène due to her challenge prowess and due to her and Delphine's exaggeration of what Antoine had said about Moundir's religion earlier in the season. At the Final Five, feeling that any pact between the two of them was now over, Antoine joined Delphine and Isabelle in voting out Moundir because they felt that he would be hard to compete against in the finale and because they felt that he did not deserve to make it any further.

Antoine was eliminated at the Final Four when losing the Orientation challenge, which contented Moundir as he felt that it was justice for Antoine voting him out.

^1 Due to the high amounts of evacuations and quits during the season, the Tribal Council on Day 31 ended up with the person receiving the most votes being exiled for 48 hours. Antoine received enough votes to exile him.
^2 At the final four, the remaining castaways competed in an elimination challenge. Antoine came in last and was eliminated.

Le Retour des Héros[]

For the first portion of the opening sudden death challenge, Tony was paired up with Émilie Frahi. Émilie and Tony were the fifth pair to finish and, therefore, were safe. After the eliminations of Amel Fatnassi and Jean-Bernard Hauton-Arnaud, Émilie and Tony were assigned to the Jacaré and Tupan tribes, respectively. While at camp, Tony worked hard, however, his way of doing things sometimes conflicted with the interests of others and his tribemates, especially the women, grew annoyed by Tony's condescending attitude and antics throughout the season. When the Tupan tribe lost the first Immunity Challenge, which was also the first Reward Challenge, Denis Brogniart informed the Tupan tribe that they would have the opportunity to send two people, who ended up being Jade Handi and Romuald Lafite, to retrieve fire for their tribe from a muddy lake later that night. Also, right after the tribe's defeat, Filomène Mendonca called out Catherine Ehret-Mader as the weakest link of the challenge. Though they thought that Filomène was being too harsh on Catherine, the tribe's men ultimately agreed with her about Catherine back at camp. Conversely, Catherine and Jade believed that Jean-Luc Fiorina was the weakest link of the challenge and, eventually, Filomène changed her mind and agreed with them. Therefore, it was evident that the tribe's allegiances would be split along gender lines going into Tribal Council, with the men planning on voting against Catherine and the women planning on voting against Jean-Luc. However, not appreciating Filomène's sharp tongue, Jean-Luc and Tony voted against her instead of Catherine at Tribal Council. Because Romuald was not aware of this new plan, Jean-Luc was ultimately voted out in a 3-2-1 vote.

When the Tupan tribe won the second Reward Challenge on Day 4, they were rewarded with the right to integrate either Amel or Jean-Bernard as a new member of the tribe. The Tupan tribe chose Jean-Bernard, bringing the tribe's numbers back up to six. With three of each gender on the new Tupan tribe, allegiances still seemed to be split along gender lines with Catherine, Jean-Bernard, and Tony being the tribe members most in danger of being voted out. However, this would not matter as the Tupan tribe won the rest of the tribal Immunity Challenges.

Before the tribes merged, Denis Brogniart informed both tribes separately that it was time for them to appoint Ambassadors. He also informed them that the power of the Ambassadors has increased: instead of casting a vote against someone, the Ambassadors have to eliminate someone. Furthermore, if the Ambassadors do not reach a consensus, they would have to opt for a rock draw in which one of them would be eliminated instead. Feeling indebted to her tribe for being the weakest link in challenges, Catherine volunteered to become the Ambassador for the Tupan tribe. At the Ambassadors' Meeting, Catherine met with fellow Panama contestant Philippe Bordier, who became the Ambassador for the Jacaré tribe after drawing the short straw in a straw draw for the position. Philippe and Catherine failed to convince one another to turn on one of their respective allies and, after the consequential rock draw, Philippe was eliminated from the game.

When the tribes merged, the second Tupan tribe members made plans to vote out François-David Cardonnel at the merged tribe's first Tribal Council. However, François-David won the first Immunity Challenge, which prompted the second Tupan tribe members to switch their target to Émilie in order to potentially throw François-David off of his game in the next cycle. After the challenge, Catherine became faint and had to be temporarily evacuated from the game. As the corresponding Tribal Council approached, the second Tupan tribe members at camp realized that they should target Clémence Castel instead of Émilie because Clémence had already won the game, unlike Émilie, and because Clémence was stronger than Émilie in challenges. Therefore, the second Tupan tribe members, with the exception of Catherine, who was at the infirmary, changed their plans and voted out Clémence instead. At the Final Eight, Tony told François-David that he felt that a man should win the season. Subsequently, within hours, the tribe seemed to be in a subtle battle of the sexes and, the next day, Catherine told Émilie that the women should vote out Jean-Bernard at the next Tribal Council because, of the remaining men, he joined the Tupan tribe later than its other members. Émilie informed François-David about this new idea, realizing that he and the women could pagong the other men over the next few cycles and, in turn, allow the two of them to make it deeper into the game. However, after François-David won the second individual Immunity Challenge, Denis Brogniart revealed to the tribe that, like once earlier in the season, Tribal Council would be taking place right there and then. With no opportunity to confirm the other plan, François-David and Émilie voted against Tony and the second Tupan tribe members voted out Émilie. At the Final Seven, Tony won the individual Immunity Challenge, but later forfeited the immunity totem because he felt like he didn't properly earn this victory because he asked Jade to throw it for him. In spite of this and the tribe being annoyed by Tony's antics at camp, the second Tupan tribe members eliminated the last of the original Jacaré members, François-David, with the exception of Jade who chose not to vote against François-David as a show of respect.

At the Final Six, Catherine and Tony were in conflict at the beginning of the cycle over the way the tribe's shelter was constructed. In the first round of the third individual Reward Challenge, Buggin' Out, Tony lost to Jade and Romuald. However, he was not eliminated from the challenge as Jade chose him to be Romuald's partner in the second round. Romuald and Tony won this round and, in turn, the individual Reward Challenge, of which the reward was an overnight visit to a local family's home. The next day, Jade won the fourth individual Immunity Challenge. At the corresponding Tribal Council, Tony voted against Jean-Bernard for joining the Tupan tribe later than its other members. However, the women were unified in their votes, unlike the men, and they voted against Tony for his annoying behaviour and for his idea of an all-male alliance, eliminating him in a 3-1-1-1 vote. After his elimination, Tony told his former tribemates that he was not surprised by the vote and that there were no real heroes competing this season.
