1. Lindsey and Carl competed in a nature quiz tiebreaker, and Carl lost.
2. Lindsey was eliminated because she had four previous votes against her.

- Diane Ogden - was voted off for being seriously dehydrated. The vote was 6-2.
- Jessie Camacho - was voted off for the same reasons as Diane. The vote was 5-2.
- Carl Bilancione - The Samburu tribe divided 4-4 with the older Carl, Linda, Teresa and Frank deadlocked with younger Lindsey, Brandon, Kim P and Silas at Tribal Council. Unlike Season 2 where previous votes broke the tie, this was the first tribal council for Samburu. So Lindsey and Carl competed in a nature quiz tiebreaker, and Carl lost.
- Linda Spencer - was voted off for being seen as a weak link. And the fact that she was part of the old Samburu alliance played as another contribution to her departure, making her an easy target for the young Samburu alliance. The vote was 4-3.
- Silas Gaither - The first ever Survivor switch sent Silas, Frank and Teresa to a new team. Boran deliberately lost the immunity challenge and voted out Silas 5-1.
- Lindsey Richter - Samburu had 3 original Boran and 3 original Samburu. Their votes deadlocked and Lindsey was eliminated because she had four previous votes against her. Lex, Kelly, and Tom voted for Lindsey because Kim J. had sent them a signal at a challenge that Lindsey had votes against her.
- Clarence Black - His threat status finally got the best of him, and in the first tribal council for Moto Maji, he was voted off in an 8-2 vote. He also sealed his fate in the first episode when, while feeding Diane beans to try to combat her dehydration, he helped himself to some as well and was caught by Tom. Tom also saw him eat some canned cherries as well. From then until Clarence was eliminated, Tom would always cast a vote for Clarence as a message for his stealing food. The only reason Clarence was kept around as long as he was was his usefulness to his tribe in challenges.
- Kelly Goldsmith - In the previous Tribal Council, Lex received two votes against him. He thought Kelly had cast the vote and targeted her as a threat. Kelly made a pact with Kim P, Frank and Teresa, but Brandon sided with Ethan, Kim J, Tom and Lex to vote out Kelly 5-4.
- Brandon Quinton - Brandon alienated his tribemates following his decision to side against Kelly and his former original Boran tribemates in the previous tribal council. Even the people that he sided with saw this. He was voted off in a 6-2 vote.
- Frank Garrison - was an original member of the Samburu tribe, and also he wanted to go. He was voted off in a 6-1 vote.
- Kim Powers - was an original member of the Samburu tribe. She was voted off in a 4-2 vote.
- Teresa Cooper - was the last remaining member of the original Samburu tribe. She was voted off in a 4-1 vote.
- Tom Buchanan - was too untrustworthy. He was voted off in a 3-1 vote.
- Lex van den Berghe - His threat status finally caught up with him when he lost the final immunity challenge. He was voted off by the final immunity winner, Kim Johnson.
- Kim Johnson - She wasn't seen too much as a more deserving winner. Gained the votes of Brandon and Kim Powers.
- Ethan Zohn - Won 5-2, with the votes of Frank, Teresa, Tom, Lex and Kelly.
